Limited run of half Tōtara and half Kauri Round Serving Spoons.
This Serving Spoon has been made using Tōtara piles and Kauri veranda posts. The Tōtara piles came out of a railway shed in Morrinsville that was built completely out of local Kauri (ex. the Tōtara piles) in the late 1800's. The Kauri came from an old bungalow undergoing renovations in Devonport.
80mm x 300mm – Approx.
Goods are made from recycled and reclaimed New Zealand native timber.
The spoons have been laminated using a waterproof PVA glue. PVA glue is non-toxic once it has set. They have been finished with a non-toxic, food safe, eco friendly tung oil, followed by a NZ made beeswax. The tung oil will keep your spoon water resistant for longer.
Each item is individually hand made, and is completely unique in form and grain. The piece you buy is one of a kind, therefore your purchase will vary slightly from the product image.
