This little vase may look perfectly cylindrical, but it has been made using first a hand planer and secondly a whole lot of sand paper, making it perfectly imperfect. The inconsistencies feel and look quite lovely up close. Will hold a single or multiple dried flowers beautifully, or use it to hold your incense.
This vase has been made using Tōtara piles. The Tōtara piles came out of a railway shed in Morrinsville that was built completely out of local Kauri (ex. the Tōtara) in the late 1800's.

Goods are made reclaimed New Zealand native timber. All home objects are finished with Raw Linseed Oil and New Zealand made Beeswax.
Any impurities, cracks, or nail holes in the wood is a sign of it's age, and it's previous use. These marks are a thing of beauty, and have been preserved to celebrate and honour it's history.
Please keep out of direct sunlight as this may crack the timber further, or create new cracks.
Each item is individually hand made, and is completely unique in form and grain. The piece you buy is one of a kind, therefore your purchase will vary slightly from the product image.
