Learn how to use the workshop machinery at The Warren to design and make your own candleholder from scratch.

In this evening class of 6 running over 4 weeks, I will teach you how to clean up a piece of native timber and make it into your very own candleholder. You will start by cutting your chosen piece using the drop saw, there will be two dimensions of native timber available, then I will teach you how to use the thicknesser and jointer to clean it up. From there we will work on designing your candleholder, using the bandsaw to cut it out, and hand tools to shape it, then sanding and oiling to finish!

Note: Imagery is an example of the process of making a particular candleholder of mine, what you make will be entirely up to you. Feel free to bring imagery, actual examples, or whatever you need to execute your own design. Dimensions for timber available will be confirmed closer to the time, it will be larger than example in imagery.
