Collection: Spoon Making Classes
Learn the craft of spoon making with my Spoon Making Classes, these hands-on workshops are designed for both beginners and experienced artisans. Using sustainably sourced native timbers such as Kauri, Tōtara, and Rimu, you will learn the essential techniques of carving, shaping, and finishing your own unique wooden spoon.
Each class provides all the necessary tools and materials, including high-quality Mora carving knives, sandpaper, and native timber spoon blanks. Join me for an enriching experience that combines creativity, craftsmanship, and the joy of working with your hands. Perfect for hobbyists, DIY enthusiasts, and anyone looking to explore the world of woodworking
Private Workshops & Tuition
I also offer private workshops for groups of 4–10 people, perfect for team days, birthdays or other occasions. Workshops can focus on spoon carving or be tailored around other small carved objects, and midweek bookings are available by arrangement. The studio comfortably accommodates up to six people, and up to ten for private sessions (a more intimate setup).
One-to-one tuition is also available for focused guidance. To enquire, please email hello@petley.store, or via the contact page HERE with your preferred dates and group size — I’d love to help you organise an experience that suits your group.
