Spoon Making Classes at The Warren
Learn to carve your own wooden spoon.
Once a month on a Saturday I host a Spoon Making Class at The Warren on Cross St in Auckland. Here you will learn make your own coffee scoop using Tōtara posts saved from an old railway shed in Morrinsville built in the late 1800's.
I am a self taught spoon carver and in this 5 hour class you’ll be introduced to my carving practice. You will learn the basics of carving a spoon and properties of wood, learn how to use a hook knife and blade, and then get into carving your own spoon, which you will finish with sandpaper.
All levels welcome.
To book a class please head over to The Warren.
